On June 15th, students and teachers from School of Data Analytics visited the Manorama Online RoboVerse VR Expo, the premier technology showcase in Kerala. The expo featured groundbreaking advancements in robotics, AI, and VR, offering students a firsthand look at the future of technology.The visit began in the DEMO ZONE, where students interacted with humanoid robots, robot dogs, fitness robots, and drones. They were particularly captivated by storytelling robots and 3D printers demonstrating live prototyping.
In the WORKSHOP ZONE, students participated in hands-on activities such as robot building, coding, and electronics. These workshops ignited their creativity and provided practical experience in emerging tech fields. The EXPERIENCE ZONE offered immersive virtual reality experiences, including thrilling roller coaster rides and futuristic hoverboard simulations. This zone allowed students to explore virtual worlds and understand the potential of VR technology. The GAME ZONE was a highlight, featuring VR adventures, AI-powered games, live Robo Wars, VR Cricket, and VR Boxing. Students enjoyed the interactive and competitive environment, which demonstrated the entertainment potential of advanced technologies.
The EXHIBITOR ZONE showcased innovations from leading manufacturers and startups, presenting advancements in robotics, AI, exoskeletons, vehicles, and software. Students gained insights into the latest technological trends and the future of various industries.
On the 23rd of February 2024, students from the School of Data Analytics embarked on an enlightening industrial visit to SMEC Labs in Kaloor and iDatalytics in Infopark, Kakkanadu. At SMEC Labs, students were immersed in interactive sessions with industry experts, witnessed live demonstrations of data analytics projects, and participated in a fruitful Q&A session. They then moved to iDatalytics, where they gained exposure to practical applications of data analytics in various industries, explored cutting-edge technological advancements, and networked with professionals. This visit provided students with invaluable insights, industry exposure, and networking opportunities, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications in the field of data analytics.
