School of Data Analytics organized a vibrant and inspiring celebration in honor of National Women’s Day. This event aimed to recognize the invaluable contributions of women in various fields, promote gender equality, and empower women to pursue careers in data analytics and related industries. The National Women’s Day Celebration at the School of Data Analytics was a dynamic and engaging event held on March 11, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The event was divided into two sessions, each consisting of various activities aimed at celebrating and empowering women.
The opening ceremony began with a soulful prayer song, setting the tone for the event. Sneha Sebastian, the host, delivered a warm welcome address, followed by a presidential address from Dr. K.K Jose, highlighting the significance of the occasion. A significant moment of the ceremony was the launch of logos and introduction of association members from the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Ms. Beteena and Ms.Vasanthi , and from the School of Data Analytics, Ms.Abseena Habeeb, and Mr. Jiby. This symbolized collaboration and unity among different departments. The session featured inspiring talks from distinguished guests. Dr. Jinitha Varghese, the Chief Guest, shared her insights, followed by Mrs. Vibharani B, who also delivered an enlightening talk. Dr. Ancy Joseph delivered the felicitation.
The second session commenced with a documentary presentation, shedding light on women’s achievements and challenges. Students also presented on women’s hygiene, raising awareness about an essential issue. A powerpoint presentation focused on the role of women in society, emphasizing their contributions and struggles. An interschool quiz competition added an interactive element to the session, engaging participants and testing their knowledge. Cultural activities added vibrancy to the event, showcasing talent and creativity. The session concluded with a prize distribution ceremony. Vijithra delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone involved in making the event a success.
